How Printing Batteries Made, Its Structure Usage and Future Applications

Scientists use a 3D printer to make lithium-ion micro batteries. Basically, all the batteries have same structure such as having anode, cathode and electrolyte. Batteries are constructed by tiny electrodes, which conduct electricity, smaller than the width of human ear.

But in printing batteries an ink is used which is said to be nano ink and a gel is present between cathode and electrolyte. This is so because it allows testing each set of cathode separately.

STRUCTURE,USES and Application:

They are used in 3D printing and size of a grain of sand. They could supply electricity in tiny devices in fields from medicine to communications. They are so small, that they can fit to any tiny device, and have a power for longer periods. Some engineers build many powerful gadgets such as microscopic insect flying robot etc. So, it is very difficult to place large batteries in it that's why printing batteries were discovered as they are so small and have large battery time. They are also used in laptop batteries etc. They can consume less power and require a very less time to charge. It is also used in hearing aid, which is fit inside a person ear. These printing batteries can make our work easy and comfortable. Hence, they can make our work and life easy and comfortable.


There are many research companies which can research on the printing batteries such as SONY, TOSHIBA etc. Most of the research is done on electrolyte and cathode because the anode is always graphite
