Full Analysis and Summary of the Gullivers Travels

GULIVER TO RESCUE One day on a nice morning Gulliver was strolling along the shore that he noticed a small boat coming to shore, first he just thought of it as a toy but afterward he noticed that someone was rowing the boat. He soon took out his binocular and noticed that, it was captain of the Lilliput, who was his sole friend during his stay in Lilliput. He rushed and took the boat out of sea and talked to captain. Captain in hurried told him that people of Lilliput were in trouble, and they needed Gulliveras help. He requested Gulliver to go with him to save them. Next morning they set for Lilliput again, after 3 weeks they reached there. Gulliver noticed that the city of Lilliput was desolated; the streets that were once filled with laughter were all barren now. Then captain told him that one day on a nice evening, everyone was enjoying the harvesting season that suddenly, some giants came and trapped the citizens, killed the king, and took people with them. Captain somehow managed to escape from palace. The next morning they set for the GIANT . Reaching kingdom, Gulliver was surprised that the grass of the land was even taller than Gulliveras height. Then Gulliver noticed that giants were nearly about 18 feet tall, and their voices were like thunder storm. Gulliver felt himself as, a spider crawling and captain was just like an ant moving with him. After one week they managed to reach the palace, where the people of Lilliput were imprisoned. Gulliver and captain were climbing the pipes of palace and then they saw a room, through window, and noticed people of Lilliput were kept there. They jumped into the room through window. People of Lilliput were happy and thankful to Gulliver, that he came to help them. And told Gulliver, that the giants brought them here for their princess and princess used to play with them. Suddenly the door opened and princess came in. She was a cute giant doll. She picked one of the 6 inch man and threw him out of the window. Then Gulliver realized she was an atrocious monster. Suddenly she looked at Gulliver and noticed he was quite tall from all others, she put him in the pocket and went out for dinner. Gulliver was really hungry after a long tiresome journey and he could not stop himself after looking at food, so he unconsciously jumped into noodles bowl in front of him. Princess clamored loudly, everyone stood up from their chairs, and starred Gulliver with great surprise. The king got hold of Gulliver in his hand and said something, but he was not able to understand so he could not reply him. At the orders of king a special small cage was made for him, in the room and he was put into it. After nearly about 2 weeks Gulliver started to feel sick due to hungriness and being thirsty for a long time, so he started to jump in the cage so that he could be noticed, by the people of palace. Then the queen came near to him, took him out of the cage, and Gulliver was able to explain her that he was hungry and thirsty by signs. Queen was a kind hearted fellow, she arranged food and water for him, and after he ate, she put him back in the cage. But she certainly forgot to lock the cage. When queen went out Gulliver jumped out of cage and started finding princess room. After about 5 hours he managed to princess room. Lilliputians thought that he was dead, but after seeing him, they started to dance and sing. Gulliver then made them realize that they soon had to plan a way to move out of palace in order to save their lives. At evening there was a party in the kingdom, and the Royal family was in big hall enjoying it. Gulliver mind then struck with an idea to make a long rope and get out of the palace through window. Everyone looked here and there for something that could be made into a rope. Soon captain thought of cutting long straps of curtain, and using it as a rope. Gulliver used his sword to cut the curtains and then all managed to knot their ends and make it a long rope. They finally made a long rope of curtain and threw it out of window, which nearly reached the ground. Then everyone started to climb down with it. As it was night time, and streets were lightened with gas lamps. Lilliputians and Gulliver managed their way through fields to reach shore. Then they made a wooden boat using the wooden sticks which were present nearby the shore, may be used by giants for lightening fire. When princess came to her room, she realized her living toys were not there, so she started to cry and yell. King ordered his army to search for them and bring them back alive. They all were sitting in the ship that one giant captain came and got hold of Gulliver. He brought Gulliver near to his eyes, and started to examine him, Gulliver could not wanted to hurt him so he remained firm. Soon he saw that a huge army was rushing to shore, with anger in eyes and swords in their hands. Gulliver thought that they might be coming to kill them, so he took his sword out and hit on the eye, who was holding him, he threw Gulliver down and hold his eye, as it hurtled him. Gulliver hurried to the boat. And all Lilliputians along with Gulliver rowed the boat and reached, after 2 weeks. king welcomed them all, and took great care of them; Gulliver was very tired and felt sick. Blefusco king ordered to treat Gulliver with best of their medicines and techniques. Gulliver was then offered with 10 tanks of water and food equal to 500 Lilliputians, All the Lilliputians prayed for his health. After one month, Gulliver was able to re- cover from his sickness, and felt much better and healthy; he played gratitude to people of Lilliput and Blefusco who took great care of him. And then he decided to go back home. After reaching home, he again made his mind for a new adventure few months later. And started to search for new places.
